Austin's First Easter!

March 30, 2013 marked the day for Austin's first Easter egg hunt. We took him to the hunt in Aggie Village on the MASA field which is between all of the apartment buildings. I was really glad that they divided the age groups and that there was one for the 0-3 year-olds, because our goal for that morning was to get ONE egg. When they blew the horn I ran Austin to the nearest target and set him on his tummy right in front of a green egg.
We didn't realize, however, that he had never experienced grass before that moment so as a result he laid there superman style trying to lift his arms and legs as far off the grass as he could.
Noticing that there was no way on earth he would be willing to move from that position we sat him up and he apprehended the egg. We found a little Twix bar inside which he so kindly shared with me. Oh how he loved that little egg, it's just too bad that they asked us to return all of the eggs before leaving, because I know Austin would have treasured that little toy for a long time.
