Happy Easter 2014!

Happy Easter to everyone! I love having holidays that serve as reminders of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and am grateful to know that he has been resurrected and has made it possible for each of us to be resurrected too. I also love that holidays give us the opportunity to spend time with family. This year our Easter weekend with family was split into two distinct parts.

Part 1

The first part of Easter weekend (Saturday) was spent with Jason's dad and Bekee at a campground near Skull Valley, Utah. It was Austin's and Izzy's first "camping" experience and they LOVED it! I say "camping," because we didn't actually sleep over, we just spent the day at the campsite hanging out, walking around with Austin and Izzy, and riding in the Snow family jeep. Thanks to Bekee we also managed to color Easter eggs too!

Austin really loved spending time with Popops (or "Papa" as Austin says) climbing on the rocks and being able to walk free-range anywhere.

Naturally, Izzy was never more than about 20 feet from her boy.

The jeep was a special treat that Austin especially loved!

Of course Austin has to drink out of the water bottle prior to his sippy cup...

Coloring Easter eggs - Austin loved coloring and putting stickers on his egg! He also seemed very interested in drinking the dye water.

Izzy was pooped by the end of the day. Actually I think this picture was taken in late morning/early afternoon - we really need to take her out more...

That evening we took off and drove out to my Mom's in South Jordan, which, coincidentally, brings us to the second part of our Easter weekend.

Part 2

Because we arrived a little late, we got ready for bed shortly after arriving at my mom's so the fun really started Easter morning. We got up, had a nice fancy breakfast, then had our annual family Easter egg hunt. We did a special Easter egg hunt just for Austin, then my siblings, I, and significant others competed for the rest of the eggs. It was super cool to see Austin get really excited and interested in finding the eggs and filling his ice cream bucket.

These pictures that look really good were taken by my sister, Kayla.

Gammy (a.k.a. my mom) also gave Austin a special Easter present - a Thomas the Steam Engine bubble blower!

We went to church, had Easter dinner, then before driving back up to Logan, we stopped by and visited my Grandma Harms in her rehabilitation center where she was recovering from breaking her hip. Even though she doesn't remember me (at age 97 I don't blame her) it was really good to visit her. She absolutely adores Austin!

Happy Easter everyone!
