Happy Easter 2015!

I love Easter for several reasons - foremost for the opportunity to focus on our Savior, Jesus Christ and His Atonement and resurrection. I also love that it typically involves family and competitive Easter egg hunts and that it falls near the start of Spring when the flowers and trees begin to bloom and the birds begin to sing.

This year we got to spend Easter weekend with my mom visiting and also listening to General Conference. She actually came out the previous weekend (for my birthday) and stayed through Easter. Fortunately I also had Good Friday off from work so we took that opportunity for Austin, Gammy, and Mommy to go to the zoo.

He found Nemo!

On Saturday we first went to an Easter egg hunt at the Stonebridge Christian Church down the street from our home after which we watched the first two sessions of General Conference, fed the missionaries, and Jason went to the General Priesthood session that evening.

Sunday we invited our friend Kaylee and her two little girls, Nikki and Jenny, over, had French toast souffle, watched the two final sessions of General Conference, and cleaned the cars in between sessions. That afternoon, Austin had a second visit from the Easter bunny (courtesy of Gammy) in which he had 52 eggs and a giant Easter basket all to himself.

Hope your Easter was as great as ours!
