Merry Christmas to all! This year we had a wonderful Christmas. We started off the season with a couple new family traditions including picking out a real Christmas tree and reading The Christmas Carol every night in the month of December and finishing on Christmas Eve. We spent the actual Christmas holiday in Prosper, TX with Jason's family and then followed up celebrating Christmas in Utah on New Year's Day.
We first flew out to Texas and spent nearly a week there. It was super relaxing and great to spend time with all of Jason's family. They were all especially helpful with taking care of Austin while I got some work done and Jason wasn't feeling well.
For our Utah Christmas celebration we decided to do it all in one day. First we visited my mom and had a brunch while the Rose Parade was on after which we swapped and opened gifts then we drove over to my dad's and swapped, opened gifts, and visited for a little while. After that we left for Christmas with Jason's dad and Bekee where we again swapped and opened gifts then had a nice dinner.

Austin got a lot of cool Christmas gifts this year including a plush nativity, stuffed animals, tool set, tablet, step stool, new phone, cars, "Monster's University," baseball and mitt, compass, tennis ball and velcro catchers, clothes, shoes, socks, etc.
Jason and I gave Austin a pair of sunglasses and a little basketball. He was definitely more interested in opening gifts this year than last year, but not as interested as I thought he would be, but it was still a lot of fun. For the loved ones that were not around to see him open his Christmas gifts, here is a quick clip.
